Going For Broke - by Wide Load

Warning!!!

December 21st 2007 02:14
I decide to take up Going for Broke because it was the perfect name for what I wanted to do.
All of the other posts are completely irrelevant from what is to follow. I am going to do something out of the ordinary on this blog.

I am actually going to turn it into a serial blog. It will be a story which I will concoct as I go in between posts. It will be a purely fictional blog. Looking at the blog sites, they all try to establish a bit of credibility as a source of news etc. Wide Load has no news credibility but is looking to tell a story and would appreciate feedback on how the story is being told.

Also plot suggestions will be welcomed.

I would think a blog like this will be added to every few days because it takes time to create characters and a storyline.

First instalment to follow. Hope you like it.

Well wasn't that a boring match of tennis.

Poor Fernando Gonzalez couldn't break Roger Federer's serve no matter how hard he tried and in the last point of the whole match he just gave up and let the ball bounce past him. Poor guy

Australian Open Men's Final

Gonzalez/Source: Wiki
So far, 1 set down and Federer is in the lead. No surprises there.

You gota admit though he's got a challenger who won't die without a fight

Federer/Source: The Age
Why can't Roger Federer just pike and throw away a match? He's earned enough money as it is for someone his age (over $28 million) and just wins all the time.

Can he NOT WIN this year? Can't he just throw away an easy shot and let someone else from some poor remote island country that we never heard of win a grand slam? Or maybe even let Lleyton Hewitt add to his ego and let him win and let sport commentators have a field day with that one

Hidden political issues on the Simpsons

January 23rd 2007 09:33
I find it terribly funny (in a haha sense mind you) that after watching the Simpsons for like...17 years you start to see it in a different meaning after you watch an episode for the 10th time.

Well...not so much for tonight's episode at the 6pm timeslot

Oh snap!

I've been totally lazy and not updating, but I've recently started a one month contract with the Brisbane City Council working as a LIBRARIAN of some sort. And it's labour intensive so after an 8 hour day, there's not much creativity for Yolanda to sprout wise words on her opinion on pop culture

Nip/Tuck Thoughts

December 18th 2006 12:43
I have to say no matter how much sexy time there is on Nip/Tuck, I still find it hilarious to watch.

So much so that one of my mates who used to abhor this show, is now totally hooked and can't wait for next week's episode

Jana Pittman names her kid Cornelius

December 14th 2006 09:53
So I heard on the radio this arvo that Jana Pittman (the one who caused some shit about the British not getting the gold medal in some relay and made Tamsyn Lewis hate her for a few weeks then it was all shiny for a few weeks after that) gave birth to her first kid today.

And named it Cornelius.
