Jana Pittman names her kid Cornelius

So I heard on the radio this arvo that Jana Pittman (the one who caused some shit about the British not getting the gold medal in some relay and made Tamsyn Lewis hate her for a few weeks then it was all shiny for a few weeks after that) gave birth to her first kid today.
And named it Cornelius.
Is it just me or does that name remind you of the elephant Cornelius from Babar?
And I bet you're thinking this as well...who names their kids CORNELIUS??
Out of all the celebrities who have named their kids funny names, like Suri, Shiloh, Kingston, Romeo, Apple, this really takes the cake.
I feel sorry for the kid when he grows up. First nickname he'll get is 'Corny'.
What bad parents.

It sucks as a kid and yes I got called corny I also got called cornflakes - the rooster of Kelloggs is called Cornelius hence the association.
In Indonesia a large number of priests change their name to Cornelius, as he is the first 'Gentile' to be saved. again the association
Like you said their are a lot of weird names out there, BUT Cornelius isnt one of them.
The formal short hand otherwise known as a nickname is Neil, that is where you get that name from.
Cornelius is an old name, its been around for Thousands of years, to my knowledge over three thousand. know this I gotta ask how old is you name?
